FabTech Supply, Inc. was founded in 1992 in Jacksonville, Florida by Marty Hussey and Chuck Hullender. The concept, to market enclosure hardware to the electrical enclosure industry, grew from the founders’ joint experience in that industry. They knew that an inordinate amount of resources were expended in the manufacture or procurement, control and storage of a myriad of low-value but essential parts necessary for the manufacture of sheet metal enclosures.

A single source for the major portion of these “bits and pieces” appeared to be the obvious solution to the problem. Thus FabTech Supply was born.

Relationships were established with quality-minded vendors across the country to supply in volume those necessary stampings, fasteners, latches, hinges, etc. that are required in the manufacture of the electrical enclosure product line. Tooling was purchased and specialized machinery and equipment was designed and built to process and assemble the various products in a cost-effective manner.

The goal at FabTech is to have available in inventory all of the most common hardware items and many of the uncommon items that are unique to this industry. Whenever possible, the parts are grouped, assembled and/or packaged in a manner which facilitates efficient use in the enclosure factory. Various hard-to-control kits and assemblies have become catalog items and therefore available from stock.

Knowing the “lizards” that plague the manufacturer on a daily basis has enabled FabTech to provide many solutions to problems that are known only to the production manager on the factory floor.
